Brent benchmark contracts rose above $100 per barrel on 9 September, according to Reuters and El País. The reports link the move to an escalation of the Middle East conflict and concern about oil flows from the region.
Crude oil is one component that affects fuel prices, but it is not the only one. The final price also depends on the product, refined-product quotations, taxes, transport, volume and the conditions of each delivery.
For that reason, the Brent move does not prove that gas oil prices in Aragon have automatically risen, nor does it establish a specific rate. September tax measures are a separate component and must be checked alongside current commercial information.
