Diesel & heating oil delivery

Why diesel prices depend on more than crude oil

An international benchmark provides context. A fuel delivery quote depends on specific conditions.

Guide

Reading that oil prices are rising or falling is not enough to know what your next delivery will cost. Crude oil is one part of the supply chain: refining, distribution and taxes also play a role.

A benchmark is not a quote

The European Commission's Weekly Oil Bulletin compiles petroleum product prices reported by countries. It is a statistical reference, not a price for a specific delivery.

Compare like with like

Check the product, date, unit and taxes before comparing figures. A national average or filling station price is not the same as a home delivery quote.

MITECO reports provide information on fuel prices in Spain. When quoting a figure, retain the specific report and its reference period.

What to include in your enquiry

Specify the product, approximate litres and town. Add tank and access information, and ask for the full terms before confirming your order.

Market information helps explain the context. It does not guarantee future price movements or calculate the cost of a specific delivery.
