On 29 September, Spain's Council of Ministers approved measures to moderate the impact of international gas quotations on the regulated Last Resort Tariff (TUR) and the maximum price of butane cylinders.

According to MITECO, the previous formula could have led to a rise of more than 45% in the 1 October review. The new rule limits the gas quotation increase included in the calculation, leaving the expected overall TUR rise at around 15%.

The measure caps a butane cylinder at 19.55 euros until 30 June 2027 and increases the winter reserve of available liquefied natural gas to 21 days, from 16.5 days under the previous plan.

These measures concern natural gas and bottled butane. They do not set a tariff or regulated price for heating oil: a heating-oil delivery price must be checked for each order and delivery date.
